October 12, 2021

FORT BRAGG, Calif. – Today, Perfect Union, one of California’s most-respected cannabis retail operators, announced new investments in Mendocino County to support the health and well-being of local families, cancer patients, children and animals.

The cannabis retailer is hoping to expand into Fort Bragg and has an application pending. In the meantime, they are moving forward with community engagement plans, including donations and partnerships with local organizations:

  • $2,500 to the Fort Bragg Food Bank’s Mendocino Food and Nutrition Program to help support the distribution of food to families and individuals in need
  • $2,500 to the Cancer Resource Centers of Mendocino County to help provide diagnostic and treatment options, financial and logistical resources, and support maintaining a patient’s family and professional life while undergoing treatment
  • $2,500 to the Mendocino Coast Humane Society to help rescue and secure homes for local animals, as well as provide spay/neutering services and public awareness
  • $1,000 to the Mendocino Coast Children’s Fund to help low-income and at-risk children throughout the county reach their full potential

“Community is family, so we’re proud to partner with local organizations that are tirelessly working in support of their neighbors,” said David Spradlin, CEO of Perfect Union. “Beyond providing quality cannabis products customers can trust and rely on, demonstrating kindness and investing in the communities we serve are cornerstones of Perfect Union’s mission and culture. We look forward to joining the Fort Bragg community.”

The Fort Bragg Food Bank has distributed over 257,000 pounds of food that fed over 2,500 families in Mendocino County this year, so far. They are seeking donations, sponsors and teen/adult volunteers to help with home delivery, food assembly for distribution, curbside distribution, clerical duties and kitchen assistance. Residents can also support their efforts by organizing food drives and purchasing items from their Amazon wish list.

“With families needing our services now more than ever, Perfect Union’s donation couldn’t have come at a better time,” said Amanda Friscia, Executive Director of the Fort Bragg Food Bank. “The pandemic has created major operational challenges, and their support improves our ability to safely distribute food to neighbors in need.”

Perfect Union has over a decade of experience managing profitable cannabis businesses; navigating state and local laws and regulations; and adding value to the communities where they operate. The company has a proven track record of building engagement, social welfare and outreach programs that focus on local partnerships, monetary investments, and donations.
